Three Gorges Dam

Photo taken on Oct. 4, 2011 shows the scenery of the Three Gorges area in Yichang City, central China's Hubei Province. The Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest water control and hydropower project which spans China's Yangtze River, began storing water on Sept. 10, 2011, and the water level was expected to reach its designed full capacity of 175 meters by the end of October or early November.
